Introducing Courtex MCP (Preview): Record Your Matches with ChatGPT or Claude

One of the goals for Courtex has always been to make recording badminton matches as effortless as possible. Today I'm excited to share an early preview of Courtex MCP.

Courtex MCP lets you use AI assistants like ChatGPT or Claude to record your badminton matches using natural language. Instead of opening the app and filling out forms, you can simply tell your AI assistant what happened.

For example:

"Create a men's doubles match where I won 21–18."

That's it. Courtex will create the match for you.

You don't need to know everyone's details

One of the challenges with recording social badminton is that you often don't know everyone you played with, or they may not even have a Courtex account.

That's completely fine.

You can create the match without specifying the other players. If you do want to keep a record of who you played against, simply tell your AI assistant something like:

"Add a note to the match that it was played against Felix and Billy."

The names will be saved in the match discussion, giving you useful context without requiring every player to be registered on Courtex.

Why build this?

Recording matches shouldn't interrupt your night.

After finishing a game, it's much quicker to tell an AI assistant the result than to navigate through multiple screens. Courtex MCP makes capturing your match history feel as natural as sending a message.

This is just the beginning. As the feature evolves, we'll continue exploring new ways AI can make managing your badminton sessions faster and more convenient.
